Before you move on to filling in your advert if you have the following information to hand it will make the whole process a lot easier:

Some key information about your property, your unique selling point;
Details about the immediate area and things to do;
Up to 8 good quality photographs, that can be downloaded easily.

Private Owners

Holidays in Northumberland is designed for the holiday maker who knows they want to visit Northumberland, Tyne & Wear and Newcastle upon Tyne, they have already decided on a visit to the region but have yet to decide upon their choice of accommodation. We aim to put the holiday maker in direct contact with the owner of the accommodation, and part of our marketing will be aimed at ‘booking directly with the owner’; therefore we cannot accept adverts from rental agencies.

Individual Property or multiple unit property

Once you have registered your name and contact details you will be asked if you wish to advertise one or more properties.

A single property is a single, house, cottage, bed & breakfast or hotel.
A multiple unit of cottages, houses, caravans on the same site but sharing the same facilities and services will be advertised under one single property, unless you decide you want to advertise it as anotehr unit, in which case the second property would attract a discount.

If the properties are in different locations or one for example, is a self-catering and the other a bed & breakfast then you will need separate adverts for each property. The second property is offered at a discounted price.

Searches

The searches on the homepage help visitors to the site look up listing under locations, bed & breakfast; self-catering; hotels; camping & caravans etc; by price and numbers in the party.

Photographs

Eight photographs are included in the price of the advert. Remember these will sell your property and the area. If you need advice regarding photography and down loading images please do not hesitate to contact us.

Photographs may be sent to us either:

By uploading digital images from your own computer to our website
By sending original photographs or to us by post for scanning

Please ensure the photographs are clear, sharp and colourful; if you are open all year you can also use colourful seasonal shots. Just remember you are selling the idea of blue skies regardless of the time of year.
We would recommend a mixture of internal and external shots with a mixture of landscape and portrait.
Minimum width 3325 pixels for landscape photographs
Minimum width 250 pixels for portrait photographs

How to Register

Before submitting an advertisement you must register your name, address, telephone number and email address. You will be able to choose a username and password; this will be confirmed to you by email. Once registered you will be able to access your personal ‘Advertisement Manager’ at any time to submit new properties; update your existing property and update your availability calendar.

Availability Calendar

We have a very simple and easy to use Availability Calendar. You should update your availability calendar regularly; keeping it up to date will save you time and avoid confusion with visitors to the site.

Updating your advert

Once you have put in your advert you can change it as frequently as you wish by logging into the Advertisement Manager featured on the top right hand side of the homepage. To log in you will need your user name and password. Changes to the site will normally occur with 24 hours.

Payment

Payment is made via Paypal; to assist the payments have been divided into monthly payments. This means if you cease trading or wish to stop advertising on the site you only need to stop your monthly Paypal payments. You may also pay by Sterling Cheque.

Front pages feature properties

Properties will be randomly selected to appear on the homepage.
