Things to see and do
Longframlington is the home of the Northumberland Pipes, they are still made and played in the village today, the workshop can be visited on most days. Just down the road lies Brinkburn Priory, a gothic church set on the banks of the River Coquet, one of the finest salmon rivers in the country, fishing and fishing lessons can be arranged locally. Cragside House, Gardens and Grounds at Rothbury, now in the ownership of the National Trust, is the perfect place to explore and picnic or enjoy the delights on offer in the cafe and tearooms. For the more active a full range of sporting activities are avaliable nearby incuding, golf, horse riding, clay shooting, mountain biking, bird watching, hill walking, art courses. With a wealth of Castles and Country Houses to vist and long golden sandy beaches.

Tawny Nook is just two and a half miles from the small hamlet of Longframlington, the village has Public Houses/Inns serving good local food, a Country House Hotel with bar and formal restaurant, spa and golf course, friendly village shop which has been awarded ‘Best Country Village Shop in England’ and is well stocked with deli counter, fine wines and fresh bread daily, also a Butchers shop, Post Office/Newsagents and Farm Shop nearby. Larger brand stores in the nieghbouring towns of Alnwick and Morpeth.

Oil cental heating, BBQ and good quality garden furniture for guests to enjoy, Tawny Nook can be let with Woodcock House to provide accommodation for up to 10 people, we regret that pets cannot be caterd for, but kennels are abailable and can be booked by arrangement.
Change over is normally a Saturday. Short breaks are subject to availability. Discount on rental for any second week booked.

Deposit : 10% with booking
Balance : payable 28 days before arrival date. A good housekeeping/security deposit of £100 payable with balance this will bw refunded at the end of your holiday.

Longframlington lies on the A697, 5 miles from the A1. The nearest Airport is Newcastle International, 25 miles south, car hire and taxi service avaliable at the airport, nearest rail station is Morpeth 9 miles south, a frequent bus service runs from Morpeth to Rothbury and passes road end approx. 1 mile from the property.
